Upload issues

Technology has outsmarted me at every turn.

1)    I've been trying to get my Bowker profile corrected for several days. I think that part is fixed.

2)    Official date for sale = December 25, 2025.

3)    I uploaded the correct image for my ebook, so I'm pleased so far with that. (See #8 below). The ebook is selling for five bucks.

4)    I made a mistake the other day by linking the wrong file for the paperback cover on Amazon. That mistake has haunted me for days. I've tried repeatedly to update the correct file.

5)     Out of frustration, I appealed to my semi-retired editor for his help. Now I'm awaiting his response.

        *    Please say yes, Vic!

6)   The latest error message says, "File is not available for upload."

7)    I've gone back and forth on Fiverr, communicating with my new editor. Nothing has helped; it's a human-error (the human being me) that has blocked Amazon from publishing,

8)    I uploaded the epub cover correctly. Here's the cover for the ebook.

9)    It's the two-page file I can't get right.

A Running Leap

When Tulip makes her mad dashes around the house, she tends to move the glass top on my coffee table.

In the picture below, Tulip moved the glass about six inches to the right. On most days, the darned glass needs to be readjusted.

New Fascination

Finally! I was having trouble finding images that I meant to share by sending it to my computer. After twenty minutes of searching, I finally found it.

TA-DA!

A friend gave me this Get Well Soon balloon while I was in the hospital. Strangely, it lost its ribbon as soon as I brought it inside my house. The balloon floated everywhere; it even followed me into the bathroom. Every time the heat kicked on, the balloon would get a new lease on life, floating a bit higher or in a different direction.

Tulip WAS interested, although you wouldn't think so in this shot.

I was always too late getting my phone out when she actually started pawing at it.

How deflating!

DUH!

My cell phone hasn't been fully charging for the past week. I thought it was the phone itself. On my second call to Consumer Cellular, the representative gave me the same suggestions as the first. "Try plugging the charging cord into other outlets." Been there; done that. The display kept reading "0%." Whenever I tried to turn the phone on, immediately after the orange company logo appeared, the phone shut itself off. How maddening!

😠

But today was different. The rep suggested that I not use the "high speed" connector. It took me a while to find a cord that fit both cord ends.

😟

My laptop fit the bill! So, at long last, THE FIX is in. Even better, I don't need to shell out more $$$ to buy another phone.

I feel a little bit dumb 😕, but much happier 😃now. I am going to need buy a second charger and cord. Once my phone is fully charged, I'll buy what I need online.

Gastrointestinally Speaking

 Pan-co-li-tis

😷

Last week, go-go

This week, no-go

What can I eat?

Darned if I know.

😷

Never knew that the sight of blood

In stool could mean that (oh my, crud)

An eight-day hospital stay loomed for me

To get antibiotics by I.V.

😷

All I passed, was duly charted

When I burped and when I sharted.

Now I'm home, a bit downhearted;

Lots has happened since this started.

😷

My diet will change since I must replace

Pizzas and cheesecakes and tres leches cakes -

With foods that are gluten- and dairy-free.

"What about TASTE?" I wonder (says me).

😷

Going forward, I vow to do, from this day -

All my grocery shopping online. Okay?

Neither Amazon nor the town's IGA;

Only Walmart fulfills my needs any day.

😷
